OUR

VISION

Our brand’s vision is rooted in the belief that pottery should be more than just beautiful or useful—it should resonate deeply with the individuals who own it.

We use ceramics as our canvas to reflect the essence of human uniqueness and the diverse worldviews that shape our lives. Whether it's a bowl, mug, or decorative piece, our handmade ceramics carry the power to evoke emotions and spark conversations.

Our ultimate goal is to empower people to celebrate their individuality and see their personal stories reflected in the art around them.

BRAND

STORY

We’re Tanya and Vi, two ceramic artists from Russia and Ukraine who now call Cyprus home.

Together, we are Bloody Pottery—a brand born out of a shared passion for clay and a love of storytelling.

Our journey into ceramics was unplanned; it all started with a broken pottery wheel and a curiosity that quickly spiraled into an obsession. Once we fixed that wheel, there was no turning back.

We threw ourselves into learning and experimenting, and what began as a personal creative endeavour soon turned into something much bigger. When people started connecting with our work—taking pieces home and finding joy, humor, or meaning in them—it sparked something in us. It wasn’t just about creating anymore; it became about sharing stories through our pieces and building connections with others.

In Spring 2024, we launched our first collection, Baby Steps. It celebrated growth—blending playful, childlike charm with the depth and maturity of adulthood. The collection was a reflection of our own beginnings: imperfect, bold, and filled with personality. It reminded us that progress isn’t about perfection; it’s about embracing the process and learning along the way.

This is also how Bloody Pottery got its name. Pottery is unpredictable and raw, much like life itself. There are moments when the clay seems to flow effortlessly, and we think, “Bloody hell, this is genius!” And then there are days when everything goes wrong—pieces crack, glazes run, or nothing survives the kiln—and all we can say is, “Bloody hell, not again.” It’s a name that reflects the highs, the lows, and the perfectly imperfect reality of what we do.

Now, we continue crafting, learning, and experimenting in our small home studio (with our dog as the honorary studio assistant). We balance the chaos of full-time jobs with the creative chaos of ceramics, dreaming of the day we’ll have a proper studio of our own. For now, you’ll find us selling at local markets in Cyprus, planning our first exhibition, and building our next collection—one piece at a time.

This is just the beginning of our adventure, and we’re so excited to share it with you. Stay tuned for our next collection—it’s coming soon!

OUR

STRONG

AND

CREATIVE

TEAM

Tatiana Suchkova
Owner, Potter, Sculptor
‍Tanya brings her fine art background and love for experimentation into every piece she creates.

Pottery was a dream she held onto, even when nobody else took it seriously. But who cares?

For Tanya, ceramics are about growth, creativity, and finding joy in every step of the process.
Vi Havaha
Creative Director, Designer
Vi is a graphic designer by day and a pottery artist by night—a true ceramics genius who refuses to give up on her vision.

Her relentless creativity drives her to experiment with new materials and techniques, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

For Vi, art has no limits, and ceramics is the ultimate canvas for her wild imagination.
Sunny Shark
Self-proclaimed Boss
Sunny tells us what to do and when to do it, inspects every piece of pottery, and signs off on if it’s good enough or not.

Although her enthusiasm sometimes leads to a few broken pieces (okay, maybe more than a few!), her heart is always in the right place - deep in the clay.
